Default 2015 214 WSD

Hi we are the proud new owners of a 214 and love it! Picked it up from the dealer a couple of weeks ago. I have been going over top to bottom. No real problems. Here are some pictures of a few mods. More to come!!

Thanks Mark. We are in the north central part of Florida. What area are you from?

Our 214 WSD arrived at the dealership this morning so we're beginning to feel the excitement. You obviously have some skills and an eye for design. Very nice work and such a beautiful kitchen. We'll be spending a month down in Carabelle this winter in our new FF

Hey Rvnewbie: Is that a PVC gutter that you slid into the rear bumper?

Thanks Yoly and Eagle.
Cliff it is 5" pvc that I mounted to the top of the bumper. I found a piece of 5" square aluminum at a scrap yard that I am going to replace the bumper with.

Default Latest Mods.

Added hinges to the tops of the two side tables for extra storage.

Replaced the stock toilet with a ceramic one. Wow what a big difference.

We added a memory foam mattress to the bed which made it hard to access the storage under the bed. I found this door at a salvage yard and it fit great.

Added some LED lighting.
We really like our little home away from home! Just wish we had more time to use it!

More good ideas and nice work. We have the same issue with the under-bed storage access so I may look into something similar. Our only real significant mod so far has been to the entertainment center ....

Nice job.

I upgraded the small tv in my XT276 to a 39" Vizio smart TV this spring.

I mounted it in the original location w/o the wall bracket. It sits on the cabinet shelf and held in place with a vertical strap and a horizontal strap. The straps are like the vertical web strap the factory used to secure the wall mounted tv from moving during transport.

The larger Tv is enjoyable and doesn't move during transporting.

I increased the strength of the factory rotary board by mounting a large piece of 1/2 inch thick solid birch and then through bolted an extra heavy duty swivel and tilting mount with four 5/16 inch bolts, large fender washers and nylok nuts. The mount is rated for 120 lbs and since the TV is 18 lbs, just a bit over-kill. In fact, the mount weighs more than the TV Oh yeah, forgot to mention, this is a 42 inch LG.

It pulls out quite a ways and swivels to face the dinette for daytime viewing and can easily be removed from the end of the arm by loosening two screws and removing two allen head bolts. That allows us to pivot the board around and remount the TV for bedroom viewing in about a minute. The entertainment center wasn't big enough for the PS3, plus it needs circulating air for cooling like a PC so I mounted it behind the entertainment center and ran HDMI up from below.
