Default Utah and Colorado

Race three of my summer tour (in Lakewood, CO) is in the books. Here are a few shots from the drive through Utah, and in Colorado.

The truck/trailer shot was in a rest stop off of I-70 before Green River, UT.

The elk were in the Rocky Mountain National Park. They're still getting rid of their winter coats, which is why the look pretty raggedy.

I didn't drive the trailer through there, and was glad I didn't. The road through the high-country gave me the heebie-jeebies.

Oops. This should have gone in Community, rather than New Member Introductions. Maybe an admin can help me out.

Nice pics!

Did you remove the decals from your FF?

Thanks.

Yes. Except for a couple near the front, I removed them all within a day or so of buying it. On the last one, they cracked, peeled, faded, were a pain to remove, and left marks where they had been.

LOL - that's why I asked. I tried to remove my cracked and ugly decals on my first FF. It was a lot of work and I never could erase the marks entirely.

Did you have an extra long 'selfie stick' to take the picture of the race track?

LOL

Awesome! This is my second one, but the first lap around the country with this version.

Nope. Just really long arms. Yes, my knuckles drag on the ground constantly.

Great photos! Thanks for sharing! I also removed most of the decals from my previous 2007 FF as the sun had destroyed them. It was quite a challenge getting them off. I peeled carefully with help of a razor scraper, then used commercial strength Goof Off on the remaining adhesive.

I am hoping the use of '303 aerospace protectant' on the outside of the unit will prevent/reduce the sun fade of those swoosh decals.

I bought a gallon of it and have used it on tires and a few other items .. next is on the exterior of the camper.

DH took off the "curling" decals on our FF the other day. They were driving him nuts and it does look better. He mentioned painting them back on (not all of the decals came off, so can still see some of the color) at some point.

Eagle, thanks for the link, I'd never heard of the 303 protectant but I can sure think of a lot of applications where it would be useful. I'll have to get some. Kansas Newbie, your story sounds so familiar. The curling decals were driving me crazy also, so I removed all the messed up ones. I also considered repainting but DW was skeptical of my artistic abilities so we traveled around half decaled till we sold it and upgraded to a newer model with fresh decals (and a slide out)

Stayed in Lakewood, CO last year for a week. I remember driving by that motocross place. Great pics!
