SAC = Southern Air Command or ??

SAC - Definition by AcronymFinder gives many possibilities.

No offense intended but the alphabet soup lingo leaves most lost IMO.

Sorry, California acronyms at large...... Sacramento, CA (SAC as us Bay Area locals refer to it)

Thanks

As I'm sure referring to east river and west river means nothing to you but to us, it's east or west of the Missouri river.

Has anyone had problems with 2007 FFX-160? I'm going to look at one tomorrow. Thank you. Mortiscons

Mortiscons, I am sure that someone has had problems with that unit -- there is no perfect RV, from any manufacturer. Inspect it carefully, just as you would any RV (and especially a used unit).

But in my opinion, Fun Finders are no worse (and probably no better) than average in the industry. I have had two of them, and have been very happy with them. Several really credible people have gotten "lemon" Fun Finders. Many have not.

I will say this -- do not buy a used RV unless you are a fairly handy person. There is a lot of maintenance and repair to do. I enjoy that process, but not everyone does. With a new RV purchased from a reputable and nearby dealer, you can rely on the warranty to fix most major problems.

I could agree with all of what you said except the last paragraph. We have bought used twice and have had no major problems with either rig. If there were problems then the original owner took care of them. There is maintenance on ANY RV, new or used. Older units seem to have more quality built into them in the first place though they aren't as shiny and attractive. New units can have serious problems and dealing with dealers and manufacturers can be a nightmare. And can take valuable time away from enjoying the unit. But the big plus of a used unit is the cost. Someone else took the hit when they drove it off the lot...a big hit. This is especially true if you use the unit a small amount of days each year. Even if you use it 60 days a year you are paying big bucks for each day of use. This, of course, is just our opinion. If someone has money to burn then none of this matters.

Hi Mortiscons, welcome to the Forum...
As far as problems, please take another look at Squeamish's thread and the post I made regarding the Buying Used Checklist... The problems can vary from trailer to trailer can can really differ, depending on the build, the day it was built, the assembler, and how the previous owners used & took care of it, etc. Just like buying a used car, you need to be serious in your checking everything out, and even getting an expert to look it over with you...

Good luck... and let us know how you do...
