A Christmas Present for the DW
Installed a electric fireplace for the DW in our 244RBS. There was a cabinet in the lower part of the entertainment center that was never used. Perfect spot for it. Happy wife, happy life .... l I think it's a neat addition.

Very nice, good install. Our 230DS has a corner entertainment center, although this model is short on storage, we don't use the bottom cabinet. I have thought about it from time to time.
Hmmm, would you mind sharing the cost of the unit?

Wouldn'd mind at all. It came from Home Depot, Chimney Free model #60412, list is 169.00. I could not find just the firebox any cheaper so i got the whole unit and took the firebox out of the cabinet. Let me know if you need more detailes about the install.

Wow that looks great. I was messing with something like this in my mind but you put it work. It looks like it should have been an option for that unit.

Love it! Looking for the right model to fit in the exact same spot in my 2011 Funfinder X 244 RBS! Looks like you removed only the cabinet doors and shelves. What size is the firebox alone? How did you install it? Does any part get hot except the front??
Thanks!
