I was actually planning to make curtains to replace them, regular & black out, especially by the couch where the blind hardware sticks into your back But it's not high on my priority list.

Nice. Ours are old fashioned cheap mini blinds. The only plus to them is you can control the view somewhat I guess.

Eagle, thanks for the links. The rv surplus guy on eBay might be the best source. Room darkening and great prices. Free shipping too. He has other items too and a really good price on Fantastic fans. That's on my wish list.

I did alot of looking several years ago as the lighting in many campgrounds shines thru the factory blinds....and the wife likes "no light" when sleeping.

Since none of the blinds seemed to be "no light" blinds/shades and rather spendy; I found a set of dark brown insulated house curtains on sale. They let zero light thru. Windows measured and the house curtains cut/hemmed for each window with a piece of velcro (the hook part) sewed on the top two corners of each curtain. At bedtime, just stick them up on each window and it blocks all light. The hook part of the velcro will cling to the window valance covering just fine without marking the valance.

The solution was very economical plus the 'coverings' fold up & take very little storage space.

You know what they say: "Happy Wife ~ Happy Life"

That's a great idea! I was thinking of much more elaborate ways to do it! Right now, I just wear a sleep mask if I need it. We are planning a trip to Alaska next summer, and I think we will need some sort of darkening curtains. I like your idea! Thanks for sharing.
