Default Anderson Camper Levelers

Anyone have/use Anderson Camper Levelers or the Camco curved levelers that utilize the same drive on principal and your opinions?

Yes, love them! They make it so much easier to level quickly, plus they don't take up much room. We don't camp anywhere that has a big level difference from side to side, but I have seen campground spots that would take a whole stack of leveling blocks to make the trailer level.

We have the Anderson. The curved levelers in your second video look like you could use them when you have a bigger difference on each side.

Of the reviews read on the Anderson, quite a few claim they broke quickly or after several uses. Also claims they would slide when attempting to roll up on them.

There were only a few reviews on the Camco and non about breakage or them sliding...but very few reviews.

Curious as which would be better as wood or plastic blocks are a PITA to mess with and this 'system' seems simpler and quicker.

We've had them for about a year, camping about a dozen weekends and no problem. I did drill through the little wedge part to put a rope through to pull it out easier.

Did you notice what size RV the compaints were from? Our FF is pretty light compared to many out there.

I thought about the size of campers those who gave neg reviews and seemed many were 5th wheel units but "claimed" to be under the rated capacity rate of the Anderson levelers. but ????

We've had the Anderson Levelers for two years now. Would never go back to anything else.

Every time other campers see us use them, they are shocked how easy, & fast, they are to use... & they ask about how/where to get some.

We broke one of the wedge stopper pieces this year (our fault) as we missed removing it prior to rolling off of the leveler. Stopper wedge still works as is & when it stops working, or breaks further, we'll simply replace with a rubber or wood wedge.

I rate few things as 5 out of 5 stars but the Anderson Levelers are definitely one I do. Get them, you won't look back if you do.

OK, I went ahead and ordered a pair of Anderson levelers. I chose the Anderson over the Camco because:
1. Above recommendations & read more reviews.
2. Appear to be more substantial.
3. In the videos, appear to provide better support to the tires when 'loaded' so not to stress the tire cords.
4. Will be pleased to eliminate hauling/setting up wood blocking ~ sometimes several times to get leveled.

Thanks all

Less than a month ago, a couple watched us level & the wife promptly told her husband 'You're getting those as soon as we're home!'. They were leveling like you but she was upset because he sits behind the wheel while she had to place the wood lol...

They have been shipped and are to arrive on Monday.

Excited to try them out.

Of note: have been a few places where 4" of lift is minimal or not enough so will still carry a few pieces of wood...and hopefully never need them.

Eagle, I have also seen that Anderson sells another item like the levelers that lifts 6" but they call it a jack. Not sure if it is suitable as a leveler though but one could always check with Anderson to be safe. Re: your purchase, I'm sure you'll be happy with them, cheers!

Wheatboy ~ the Anderson Levelers arrived today via UPS. Looks like they will work perfectly and seem well made.

BTW ~ a 3 year warranty when you register the product.

C&P from the registration web site:

"Your product is now covered under the Andersen Hitches 3-year, limited warranty. If you have any problems with your camper levelers, simply send us an email and we'll get you taken care of right away!

Thank you very much for trusting GoFast Ventures with your camping needs"

Yes, aluminium would be great....light and strong too.

Of course, the plastic doesn't cost much so now 95% of what one pays for is the 'idea', not the material. With AL2, the price could be twice as high or more.

Does anyone use a level sensor that can be used from the drivers seat of the tow vehicle so you don't need 2 people to level???

From the reviews, appear to be a waste of money .. just junk.

Anderson levelers are really amazing. I was skeptical when I bought them but in the last number of trips I have taken they have leveled excellently and saved a lot of time in set up. Unfortunately, good ideas are always expensive. Hope the inventor mad a bucket of money with this.

Question for those with the Anderson levelers ... Do you place them directly on the ground or do you first put down a 1 x 8 or 2 x 8 to place the Andersons on first?

How well do they work on a graveled site?

I haven't tried mine yet.

Thanks

I installed one of these on the front of my XT276 when the unit was dead level ~ works great and easily seen from the drivers seat of the tow vehicle.
