Default Anderson equalizers

Does anyone have any experience using an Anderson friction weight distribution hitch? Pros and Cons?

Cannot comment on the Anderson as have the Equal-i-zer WD hitch set-up and love it. Also has won the Readers Choice award for 7 years in a row now ... as voted on by actual users.

Check out their web site: https://www.equalizerhitch.com/

No B.S. advertizing as everything on their web site is how it really is!

yes... this system is similar to what I have already but is really heavy for me. The Anderson looks like something I can handle. I have a Funfinder X189 FBR which is small and light so I am hoping the lighter system will work.

I actually considered the Anderson Hitch. Ultimately I ended up with a Fastway E2 600 pounds TW trunnion style WDH. The reason was that I tow with a Highlander that has a unibody frame. In investigating the Anderson Hitch it appeared to be based on chain tension and rubber bushings. I was worried that it could put more stress on the frame therefore I went with 600 pounds rated bars that will hopefully bend before the frame does. Anyway, let us know how it works out.

Our friends we camp with have used an Anderson for thousands of miles. Mercedes M350 pulling a 24' TT. We often do road trips together where there is almost daily hitching and unhitching. Neither of us has problems. His Anderson appears to work flawlessly and, just like my Equal-I-zer, is both a weight distribution and anti sway. I like my WDH and he likes his. Good luck.
