Correct Anode Part # for All Suburban Water Heaters

I needed a new anode rod for our Suburban water heater. It listed two different numbers in my owners manual and I could not find either one of them. I finally called the Suburban Manufacturing Company in Dayton Tennessee. This is what they told me.

The correct part number for ALL Suburban anode rods is: 232767

All Suburban water heaters take the same anode rode.

I replace mine every year as they are usually quite eroded which is what they are designed to do. Also I usually order two at a time.

There are two types. aluminium and magnesium. the one you get depends on the type of water you will use most.

The magnesium will corrode away faster, but will protect better, but may make the water smell funny depending on the content.
