Default cover for 2 burner gas stove

I just purchased an 2014 AR-ONE 18 FB travel trailer. I would like to cover the 2 burner gas range to have more counter space. I have seen metal stove covers and wooden cutting board covers for larger stove tops but nothing for the 2 burner top. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I know exactly your situation. I too, wanted a cover for the two burner stove top in my XT-276 and was unable to find anything.

I resolved the problem by making my own. I used a piece of plywood large enough to cover the range, rounded the corners, made feet from a piece of 3/4" dowel - cut into four 1" pieces. I screwed/glued the 1" long pieces of dowel on each corner, added a rubber cushion make for a chair bottom and then Cherry wood stained the whole thing. It looks good, matches the cabinets, clears the stove top/knobs and stays in place when traveling.

That Sir, was my solution.

If you google it and there are numerous sites that sell 2 burner covers.

Thanks for the links....but after viewing those, I'm not impressed with the appearance and glad I made one.

However, one of those may work for someone unable to make their own.

Default stove cover

We have an XT-276. We made a stove top cover by taking a cutting board and glueing on legs long enough to clear the burners. We put rubber ends on the legs to minimize slipping. The cutting board was from The Container Store:
Wide Butcher Block Top
23" x 23" x 1" h
190040
The legs are from a broom handle cut long enough to just clear the burners, and the rubber tips form Home Depot. The legs are painted black to match the rubber tips.

Hi Bill and Cindy,

Any chance you could post a picture of the finished product. I'd love to see how it looks before I start making one similar to yours. Great idea, BTW.
