Default Direct TV for the TT

I am looking to be able to use my Direct TV while camping from time to time. I have seen a few portable dishes for "DISH TV" but not sure what if anything is available for Direct TV. Have thought about the automated roof mounted ones but if there was a portable that would be better than adding something else on the roof.

I have Direct TV as well, only option for NFL. So I've researched this a bit, although I haven't done anything yet. Basically you have 2 options for Direct TV either Winegard or King. (KVH also makes satellite dishes but not portable ones.) King makes one that can be used as either a portable or roof mount and lists for $549 on their website. You can probably find it cheaper from some internet retailer. That's about $100 cheaper than the Winegard equivalent. The downside to Direct TV is you can't get HD so if you're planning to use the box from your house which is most likely HD, you can't just plug and play. At least not the last time I looked into this. There were some workarounds but I've been putting this off in the hopes that Direct TV HD will become a possibility.

I have a Winegard Carryout (the bigger version) and previously had a plain, ol' dish, which made me CRAZY. The Winegard is a wonderful improvement. Wish it was smaller, though.

I just take a receiver from the house (Directv) and it works fine. I am not fussy about having HD in such a tiny trailer!

I understand these days, that certain new receivers will not work properly with the Winegard. Here's a link to Winegard's site that tells the model numbers of compatible receivers for each of their antennas:
