Default Has anyone tried LED lighting to illuminate the steps?

During are recent camping trips, my wife and I noticed how dark the entrance steps are at night, even with the exterior light on. It seems to be an easy trip and fall hazard. Has anyone tried adding LED lights to provide illumination there? I was thinking about getting some amber waterproof strip lights and attach them on the underside of the trailer where the stairs are. The reason for amber is to avoid attracting bugs.

We have installed the Glowstep Revolution steps, which have built-in glow in the dark strips. The steps are great, and the glow really helps.

But a warning -- these steps are not cheap.

They are made by Torklift.

I painted mine white with a couple coats of paint. Then I painted them with glow in the dark paint, three or four coats of that, and it didn't make any difference whatsoever so just in case you were thinking glow-in-the-dark paint will work... It doesn't

After some search of the web, I decided to buy these trailer marker lights:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I figure, I could add either one or two to the undercarriage below the door and wire them into the out door pouch light. That should provide enough light to see the steps and since they are amber, they shouldn't attract bugs. I will add them next spring when I get the trailer out of storage.
