I can definitely see where this tool would make it easier to move the hitch from place to place and there may come a day when I might need such a device. Curious a bit about cost .... it doesn't look cheap ? We just spent any "mad money" we may have had buying what we deemed to be as essential .... a good memory foam mattress for the The Heart of Gold and a set of Timbrens for Nico. Both expenditures ($495 total) will make our lives safer and more comfortable.

I think our next investment will be something I recently saw in a CW mailer. We used to have a King TV antenna and it had a great signal locator built into the signal amplifier which would indicate the signal strength (pointing at the source signal) by displaying a series of blue digital lights ... more lights in a row, the stronger the signal. Our 2015 FF has a great "batwing antenna" which gets great reception as long as you know exactly where to point it. In any case, I discovered a product that connects inline with the coax cable in to the TV and provides the same blue digital light display as the King ... $38. Gonna hafta get me one of those

The cost for the Hitch Grip was around $30. It's on sale right now at PPL for $22.

It does not appear cheaply made or flimsy, although I was surprised at how lightweight it is.

Yesterday, based on a couple of the comments here, I tried again to put the head in the square part on my truck using the Hitch Grip. No problem whatsoever lining it up to fit in smoothly. For me, much easier and a lot less struggle than handling it without the Grip.

So, speaking strictly from the standpoint of an older, shorter, weaker woman, this thing is a great buy for me. I was willing to take a chance based on other reviews and the low cost, and I'm glad I took the chance.

Eagle ..... Timbrens came in today and I installed them with no issues. Big difference over stock OEM bump stops. I'll let you know what the ride quality is like at the end of the month when we get back from Branson.

I meant that I wanted to be a member of the "Hitch Grip" Club (Say that 3 times, fast)

I called them to ask them if it would fit the 2 5/16 inch ball ? It says that it will fit a Class II, Class III and Class IV hitch but it really doesn't hook to the hitch. They agreed that it needed to indicate what size balls it fits since this is what it attaches to. The lady in parts was very nice. She offered to pull one and check it on a 2 5/16 inch ball and call me back. She called back within 5 minutes with the "go ahead" so I ordered one. They were very nice

While we're on the topic of new toys .....

Yoly and I had a couple bike rides down in Florida in excess of 10 miles (off road trails) each and while our legs and lungs had surprisingly good stamina, I can't say the same for our butts. Man, we coul hardly sit on the bike anymore that day or the next. I had already replaced the seats with a saddle style seat but they were "cheapos" from Walmart. I found these gel/foam seats at Ace Hardware down there and I picked up one for each of us. They were $39 each and boy, do they ever make a difference. Worth every penny. The branding on them says "Sun-Lite C9 Series" .... most comfortable seat I've ever had to sit on

IIRC, the Timbrens were slightly longer ( taller ) than the stock OEM bump stops, cylindrical w/hollow center.
Yes, would love to know of your experience with them, thanks.
