Default Ideas - Rusted toilet flange nuts

Folks,
I am replacing that gasket for the toilet so water remains in the bowl. But, the issue is rusted flange nuts. I am using WD40 on them and no luck so far even using vice-grips. I am expecting still that they still loose counter-clockwise.
Has anyone else come across this issue before?
Thanks,
Ed

Loctite makes a product called "freeze and release" -- I have never used it myself but have been told that it works well.

Whatever you do, try everything before just cranking on that bolt with brute force -- if it shears off, it will be really hard to fix!!

Good luck, and let us know what happens!

I never heard of this stuff, but I am glad you alerted us to it -- those reviews are amazing -- over 700 five stars?? I wonder how it does what it does!? Here is a link:

In a pinch I have mixed ATF and Diesel Fuel and used it with success. I believe that these ingredients are part of the chemical make up. Yes it is great stuff. Silverado
