Default Latest Mod/Bike Racks

My latest mod is a bike rack on front of my 189 and a rear bumper and rack for my wife's trike. The front rack is a Swagman 2 bike rack, but I used two of the wheel hoops to make the trike rack. The trike rack is mounted to the bumper via 2 hitch receivers so it is completely removable. Towed this arrangement for 250 miles couldn't tell any difference from before. I think the front and back weights balance out.

Well done! I am envious -- my 139 will not support a rear rack.

Default Latest Mod/Bike Racks

Pep,
Did the Swagman bike rack that you dismantled and modified for the rear trike come with the long 2" hitch tubing needed to get the trike out past the spare tire? If so, which bike rack did you order? I want to do the same mod except mount a DOUBLE bike rack to the back bumper and reinforce the bumper as you did.
Thanks!

The bike rack is a Swagman RV approved Traveler XC2 with bumper adapter from Amazon. The 2" sq. tube is included.
The tube is 16" long from the receiver pin hole to the end. I am quite sure it will clear your spare tire. I have it pushed as far back as possible and I am using the back bike rack. I could move forward 5" . I also drilled another pin hole so I could move as far back as possible.
