Default thanks for reply

According to shipping mine will be here Monday it looks like. I might haven to cut a piece or my steps from the strip. So I don't need any special connector. Did you solder it or what. Is it marked hot or ground?

No special connector needed. The wires for the LED's are very light weight as LED's take very little power. Soldering them is best and cover with electrical tape for insulation and/or use an insulated crimp connector found in any auto parts store. You may connect the hot or ground to either wire from the LED's as it makes no difference.
