Well - Asking a single 2k generator to run an RV AC is asking a lot. Even with a hard start capacitor, it would max out what the generator produces. I have a Honda EU2000i and EU2000i Companion along with a hard start capacitor-that will run the AC. If you don't provide adequate power to the AC it could start (with a hard start capacitor) but run hard-and the strain might do bad things to the AC. Same as pulling too much from the generator. Your link to the soft start is currently down for maintenance. https://www.loveyourrv.com/installin...r-conditioner/

Lots of discussions about this on rv.net -- and the results are mixed. It works for some folks and not for others, even with virtually identical equipment. I am reluctant to go to the trouble and expense of installing the starter kit without knowing if my Honda 2000 can do the job.
it seems like a good product if you believe their write ups and videos. I believe I'll try it, I just bought the Honda 2200 with the intentions of purchasing the easystart.
I guess I'll have to just purchase it and give it a try.
