Default My tt had been sitting for 4 years

I figured I would have to spend some money since the t160 had been sitting for 4 years.
The water pump ran but didn't pump. I took it apart and put it back together and it pumped but the outlet pipe was broken right the body. AMAZON
Hooked up a propane bottle to run the heater so I could work inside. It's about 40 degrees out. I turned on the bottle and could hear hissing. I grabbed some soap water and the regulator is leaking around one of the crimped edges. AMAZON
Broken screen door latch, broken door hold open post, replaced all the bulbs with led.
Co2 detector dead (14 years old anyway), propane detector 14 years old. EBAY for a combined unit.
Awning knobs won't turn (rusted), awning moldy.
Fridge works on 110 volts. Hopefully with the new regulator it will work on propane.
Bought the parts to raise the txt 3". Hopefully that goes well.
10 days to get it ready for its 1st trip.

Good luck on finding/getting the repair parts you need and being ready for a new camping adventure soon.

If it's been sitting four years, I'd suggest taking a good hard look at the tires.

Good point
I'm going to add 3" to the torsion axle and check the bearings. The tires "look" good but I want to check the manufacture date. They may need to be replaced. The spare still has the nubs on it. I'd hate to toss a tire that has never been on the ground but time kills tires as much as wear.

I hear you. I've got a trailer that I bought in October, but that I'll put a LOT of miles on this summer. I'm trying to decide if I want to keep the stock tires on there, or put a new set of Goodyears on it before I go...and that includes the spare.

The more I fix the more I find wrong. I received the water pump today and it went in without a hitch. I turned on the water and the faucet has a crack in the plastic where the high rise neck connects. Homedepot here I come. The rest of the water lines held pressure.
When running the shower then the toilet I found water under the trailer. It looks like I have a "nice" crack in the bottom of the black water tank. Probably from bottoming out on the drain line. I did some reading and it looks like the best way is to cut a hole from the bottom and patch/repair the tank.
I'm glad I got this for a good price. But anyway I'm having a "fun" time fixing everything. I really do enjoy fixing stuff as long as it's not along side the road somewhere.

Patching a black tank is not easy -- my old 2003 T-139 bottomed out (poor ground clearance on that unit) and I cracked part of the black tank. Very hard to reach in and do anything. I used JB Weld epoxy. It worked. Not a fun job.

As Michelle always quotes me: "some assembly required" !!!!

It'll all be worth it when it's all done and you're out camping !

In the same vein, I have heard it said that a trailer is not really a vehicle -- it is a kit composed of loose parts traveling in roughly the same direction.

I told my wife that the trailer is a house that is always in an earthquake. Imagine our homes surviving the kind of abuse that even a very nice dirt road would hand out.

Most of the tanks are some form of ABS or PVC and I noticed that Camping World has a number of repair products and kits for tank repairs.

Happy camping and good luck on the repairs!!

As for tires, I've read on several forums and places Maxxis (sp) tires are the best but I've no personal experience as still running the factory originals on my camper.

I hit a rock and cracked my black tank. My Mexican insurance paid for the repair in the U.S. minus the deductible. The total charge was $1400. Worth checking out if you have insurance.
