Sewer hose storage
I have a 189 FBR and my sewer hose does not fit the attached sewer storage holder. What does everyone do for storing their sewer hoses?

Previous owner kept the hose in a tub in the pass through but we didn't really like the idea of having it up front with everything else so it's been relocated it and now stored in the rear bumper.

Unfortunately our model does not have a rear bumper.

Another option I've seen in use is a square vinyl fence post mounted cross-wise under the trailer with caps on both ends. 5" square posts run around $24 at Home Depot.

EZ Hose Carrier
I actually have 2 of these mounted under our 210UDS. Might have to get creative with the mount points. I have my main hose in one - I had to use a dremel to file down the nubs on the collar to make it fit in the hose carrier. I carry my extension hose in the other carrier.

Our XT-200 doesn't have a rear bumper either, but I mounted one of these: https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Sewer/Va...04-5094BK.html with the opening facing the rear of the camper and it works great! It's big enough to fit the sewer pipe fittings and long enough to be an easy slide. Plus, the adjustable length made it super easy to attach to the underside of the camper. I don't love eTrailer, but you can get these at many different retailers.

Yup, my sewer hose with the ends on would not fit in the factory carrier tube under the camper.
I got the square 5" vinyl fence post from Home Depot or Lowes, mounted it and works perfect to store my Camco 20ft Revolution Swivel RV Sewer Hose Kit, Includes Swivel Fittings and 4-in1 Elbow Adapter.

I have 189 FBR as well. I have no idea what is supposed to go into that storage area. It is too small for anything.

Our rear-bumper has bolts that go down through from the top preventing us from sliding the sewer hose through. There is a black pvc holder for the intended purpose, but the diameter is insufficient. We plan to remove the bolts down through the top of the bumper (they don't seem to serve a purpose) and try that, or attach a black PVC pipe with a larger diameter underneath.

Here's what i did. 5" vinyl fence with a plastic gutter in it. My wood "dividers" are just some pieces from a scrap broom handle. I mounted the 5x5 vinyl post cover with some scrap pieces of aluminum I had in the shop.

I fixed up a "bumper" solution on my 189FBR that has no bumper. You can find pictures by looking through this thread

scroll down about 10 posts or so.

Not sure if the problem described here is the same as I encountered, but when I ordered a replacement sewer hose, the hose diameter itself would fit into the tube on the back of our 189FBR, but the ridges that protrude on the end (to help you grip it when you're twisting it on or off, I guess) were too wide. I just got a small triangular file and made myself four notches in the carrying tube... took out enough of the PVC to be able to slide the new hose in, but didn't have to file all the way through so the tube is still intact on the exterior and the end cap still fits snugly. The other advantage is that now my hose only goes into the tube far enough for the end to be flush (since I didn't feel like filing the notches any deeper than I had to) so I don't have to reach in with a pole to try to retrieve it.

Rhythm, that's a clever solution to a common problem -- well done!

Finally got a couple of pictures... these show the notches I filed out to create space for the hose fittings..
