Default snow globe in camper

We were out for our first camping trip of the year, turned on the AC and we were covered with fine white particles that appear to be styrofoam. It was everywhere and took over an hour to clean up. Any ideas on what caused this would be appreciated.

Hmmm. This is not a brand-new trailer, is it? If so, I would suspect foam from the ceiling insulation installation had gotten into the a/c system.

But if it is not a new trailer, then it is possible you have (or had) mice nesting in the a/c equipment. They sometimes chew up exposed pieces of foam and use it for nesting material, since it is such a great insulator.

One year, we were camped in a meadow and left a closed cell foam mat (about a half inch thick, two feet wide, and three feet long) on a lawn chair overnight. By morning, the mice had turned it into swiss cheese.

Our Fun Finder is a 2015 and this is the first time we have had this problem We considered mice, but we haven't seen any droppings in the camper. Of course that doesn't mean they can't be in the ceiling.

Once in a while, I have a few that trickle out of my lights.
