Default Some fun mods

Slide out table:

Entry way table and hooks for backpacks

Knocked out the speaker baffles in the cabinets to get more storage space

Insulated the floor. Be sure to use lots of glue between layers, I have a bit of a squeak from foam on foam sliding when the floor flexes.

Added a tow hitch

Replaced the main fuse cause the old one melted

Added a fan

Knocked out a wall under the bed, there was a space completely sealed off about 2'x2' that was just wasted.

Added lights in the cargo hold, and entry way

Replaced the light switches with a 1-OFF-2 switch, so we can run just one bulb if we want to conserve energy

Just replaced the water pump tonight with a quieter one (Sureflo E-65). Also found the inlet hose was badly kinked, which could have been why my old pump was so loud.

Nice work. I especially like the switch replacement. I need to look into that as it would be nice to dim it down a touch since we've gone to all LEDs.

Nice Job of storing your Awning rod and Anderson Levelers. Looks like you are having fun. Silverado

Excellent mods. I like the light at the door entry. May want to make it yellow to avoid attracting bugs.

Great photos -- thanks for posting!! What did you used to glue the foam panels under the trailer? Are the panels supported by anything? Are you going to seal the underside, like with a sheet of coroplast?

Love your mods! Especially jealous of the hitch! How exactly did you do it? We have a 2008 189FBR Did you add a bumper, because ours has no bumper, and have been told we can't afford a hitch. I f not a hitch, at least will like a bike rack. You've done great jobs!

It looks like you have about the same floorplan I have, you might enjoy seeing the mods I've done, many are similar. I like the sliding table you made.

Oh one more... What is the red switch under the front of the bed?

Loctite PL 300 Foamboard VOC Latex Construction Adhesive

I glued the sheets to the bottom of the floor, then glued on a second layer. They are screwed in with 2.5" screws with fender washers.

One issue I had was the foam sheets squeaking when the floor flexes. I ended up cutting the sheets into smaller tiles, and that seemed to help. I'm not planning to seal anything off, I'd be worried about trapping moisture, or the foam dissolving. The foam is 2 layers of 1" thick foam board. The 2nd layer is tight against the leading edge of the cross members, the 1st layer slightly shorter so air can pass through if moisture gets passed.

I bought a universal hitch which comes in 3 pieces, the cross bar, and two hangers. The hangers bolt on to the vehicles frame, then get welded on the cross bar. This kit should work with just about any frame since the frame rail spacing can be adjusted.

Here's the link to the hitch I bought:

It's an Amp hour meter, volt meter, Ammeter. It's not a very good one though.

There aren't any light switches in our trailer that our kid (7 years old) can reach, all the switches are on the ceiling. It's also annoying having to step inside, in the dark before being able to turn on a light. So I added a light switch by the front door.
