Default Spray Port Tank Cleanout

How many times have you been caught at a dump station which did not have a hose available to connect to you tank cleanout? After staring at the tank cleanout connection I realized that there had to be a solution and then it struck me: Use the water from the Spray Port to feed into the Tank Cleanout. Then just turn on the water pump when needed and since it feeds the sprayer in the tank the line has no stored pressure after you turn off the pump. I found everything reasonable priced on Amazon and recently gave it a try. SUCCESS! I doubt it will ever be the subject of a TV infomercial, but it is practical and good to carry in the trailer when needed.

I have no such 'spray port connection' so won't work on my unit. However, appears you have a great solution for your unit.

When dumping at a dump station, if no hose to connect to black tank flush, it's doesn't get done until where it's possible.

Have gone for over a week camping in multiple locations before able to use the black water flush & no problems.

I wish I had a spray port. That looks like a great setup.

There is a slight risk with cross contamination with doing this. The spray port does draw from your potable water tank. At a minimum you might install a backflow protection device (anti-syphon, airgap or check valve) in the mix.

I agree that there would be a remote chance if the hose was left connected and the water pump was off. I envision this only being used for a few minutes at the dump station and the water pump would be on so the flow is out the spray port and into the cleanout. I am also not using this section of hose for any other purpose.
Thanks! We all want to be safe!
