In addition to what the others have said, there is also a safety reason to keep the battery connected. In the unlikely event that the trailer becomes disconnected from the tow vehicle the battery supplies the power to engage the trailer brakes.

Default Fridge Woirking while TRowing

Jerry T,

The fridge works on LP while driving but the ignition for the LP is electonic,,,,,,SO you must keep the trailer battery ON so that the fridge ignition system will work.. Also..make sure you purge the air out of the LP lines by lighting the cooktop otherwise the fridge will not be receiving LP. Leave the fridge control on AUTO so it will work on LP or shore power when hooked up.
