Stove & sink covers

Here is my butcher block stove & sink covers. The stove cover has an electrical outlet mounted at the back to eliminate cords hanging on the front of the cabinets. Note the flat plug to minimize cord protrusion. The sink covers replace the original mdf covers which are heavy and swell when any water gets in. Also I replaced the black sink cover crutch tip feet ,which left black marks wherever they were set with white ones that I found @ Home Depot.The finish is butcher block conditioner which you apply periodically.

Beautiful!! My guess is that's walnut and oak? Technical question -- which glue did you use for the lamination?

The stove cover is mahogany and poplar,the sink covers are walnut and poplar. The glue is Titebond III.

Pep- my 189fbs is in storage, but I would like make or get a stove cover. Do you have the dimensions of yours?

It is 22"x22" ,the sides are 2 1/2" which gives a depth of 1 3/4" to clear the stove.

Great job Pep, they look real nice. I actually had a side business for a few years making custom Butcher Block Cutting Boards and I never thought to make mine out of butcher block! Looks like I have another project comming up !

Hey Oh!
Just found out that I am annual retentive. The direction in the wood is not parallel. That would drive me crazy every time I entered the trailer. (large smile) Nice job. Have Fun!!
