Default switch in front storage compartment

Just bought a 2008 x210wbs and discovered a switch in the lower front pass though storage compartment. I think it maybe some sort of battery cut off but I am not sure. It is covered by a black plastic box with the switch on the outside of the box. Any one having any ideas would be appreciated.

Yup, that's your battery disconnect switch. Push it in to disconnect the battery, out to connect.

Make sure its out when plugged in or towing otherwise batteries don't do what they need to. Brakes lights etc..

I put my switch in the ON position and then put a couple of screws behind it in such a way that the switch cannot be accidently bumped off.

Brake lights will work whether the main switch is ON or OFF. The primary reason to always have the main switch in the ON position is to provide power to the emergency break away switch when towing. I know it is a stupid setup since power should always be going to the break away switch regardless if the main power switch is ON or OFF but that is how Cruiser did it. In fact, one of the first things I did was bypass the main switch and route power directly from the battery to the break away switch so it would always have power going to it regardless of the position of the main switch. I did it because every trailer I had owned before Cruiser always had power to the break away switch routed directly from the battery.
