Weight Distribution hitch need adjusting?
I've got the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System that I use to pull my XT-200. After my last trip, a 250-mile pull, I noticed that the pieces that connect the bars to the hitch (and pivot up near the ball itself) were shiny, shiny, shiny. Like a mirror shiny.
I had put some good (lithium?) grease on there earlier, but between the rain and the friction, it wore off. The shine tells me that there's a lot of friction there, and I'm wondering if it means I need to adjust the hitch.
When I look at the truck and camper, they're both level. The gap between the front tire and the fender doesn't change more than 1/2" either, so I think that by the book at least, I've got it set up correctly.
Do any of you folks with more experience than me have any insights?
