Default Zerk Fittings

Last minute trip preparation. It has been a long time since I have had the bearings checked.

I'm not a mechanic and will be relying on one. Is it fair to say that all Funfinders, mine is a 2008 230DS, have Zerk grease fittings?

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the EZ-Lube spindles?

If so, I'm not sure if all FunFinders have that feature or not.

I usually hand pack the bearings once a year anyway. It makes me feel a little better and allows me to look over the brake condition. When I do shoot just a little lube in the spindle I like to do it with the hub warm......and it's only just a little.
There may be a actual procedure somewhere on line......

Yep, sorry if I used the wrong term. I want to know before taking it to someone. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

And here is a video from Dexter on hub removal and hand packing the bearings.

There's really no way to know for sure without checking. FF used mainly Lippert axles that may or may not have had the lube feature. I know from others that have posted here that some had them and some didn't.

At any rate it should be no big deal for a mechanic to pull the hubs and regrease the bearings. And if you haven't had them checked in a long time it's not a bad idea to have the mechanic inspect them.

Ditto that ~ plus I'd rather do it myself so know it's done right.

Dad always said, "Never pay someone to do what you can do yourself"
