My spare tire is mounted to the back and if not straight the handle on the tounge jack the rubs cover or couldn't make full rotation.
I upgraded to a electric jack (e-bay) and I had to rotate the jack sideways because it hit cover on a V type dip in my driveway.
Its OK now but still have to be carefull on tight right turns or backing up.
The ball on the friction swaybar also hits on sharp right backups.
I found the campers very manuverable at slight angles, theres no need to go sharply.
Overall i think it handles better being close to truck and makes my wind deflector(+ 1.5 to 2 MPG) work better,
I dont even know its back there sometimes.
Except for long steep hills
