Default How much does my TV or Trailer Weigh?

Okay-here's a tip that experienced trailer owners probably already knew but it helps to remind and pass on to everyone.
We all wonder what our loaded tow vehicle really weighs. And, what does our loaded trailer really weigh?
On lots of secondary roads (usually just across state lines) there are weigh stations with scales. Many are now closed, unmanned, etc. BUT - if you check, many of the scales with the digital readout still work.
It's a great way to pull up and weigh your tow vehicle, come back later and weigh your trailer.
Takes the guessing/estimating out of the game.

Default Total Gross weight

Take your Truck and Trailer to a local truck stop.( fully loaded)
Put it on the truck scale.
They charge about $10.00
Then drop your trailer on the lot and Put just your tow vehicle on the truck scale,
Tell them you want a re-weigh and give them the number off of your original scale ticket. ( They only charge $1.00 for a re-weigh)

This should answer all your weight questions.

Local county landfill will weigh and give you a weight slip for free.

Another possible ........ a local cement mix company that also sells sand/gravel and landscape rock by the ton has a super nice, outdoor scale that is longer than a semi tractor/dump trailer rig.

I see some local furniture moving rigs going in to check their weight from time to time. No idea if they charge, but if one in your neighborhood, a simple call/question will provide an answer.
