Default RV battery charged from TV

Have a 2011 Fird Exoedition with factory package. RV battery was not holding a charge. It appears if you have the battery knob pressed in the RV runs from converter but no battery recharge. So connected to shore power no recharge when switch isin

I called my Ford dealer and he is telling me that the TV NEVER charges the RV battery, is that correct?

No not correct. The tow vehicle should charge the battery. Check out this link:

You can see that pin number 4 is the battery charge terminal

Pushing the battery disconnect switch "in" does disconnect the battery from the trailer so in that case it won't charge via the TV, or from shore power either.

You should not tow with the battery disconnected however, if the trailer should come disengaged from the TV the battery is what provides power to the trailer brakes.

My dodge ram has 2 fuses for the trailer. One for the trailer lights and one for the trailer battery. When I blew the fuse for the battery it would not charge or work my power jack when connected to my dodge. May want to check your fuses.
