I tow my 2012 214WSD (24') with my 2005 F150 FX4 and a 10k Equal-I-zer hitch. I have zero sway issues. There are a lot of options out there and a lot of cheaper (and less expensive) hitches, but after doing a bunch of research I went with the Equal-I-zer 4 point and couldn't be happier.

My Equal-I-zer was $407.69 + shipping. Bought it online from Adventure RV. Mine came without the ball but it's worth paying more for one pre-installed (IIRC it's about $45 more) because you need a special socket and a big torque wrench to tighten it properly.

For what it is worth, I am towing a much smaller trailer with an anti-sway bar -- much cheaper than a WD hitch. But on a bigger rig, I am not sure if my setup would be adequate.

I also "endorse" the Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch setup. At just under $500 it is an "expensive" add-on. But, the setup "locks" your trailer to the tow vehicle and essentially makes it behave like one unit not two separate things with wheels. I have towed a 210UDS with a Nissan Titan and then upgraded to a Ford F350 (and moved the Equal-i-zer to the F350). The system is almost bullet proof. No sway! Ever. Well worth the money for the peace of mind.

I'll add my endorsement to the Equalizer anti-sway hitch...which has won the Trailer Life gold award 5 years in a row, selected by readers as best on the market.

I purchased mine with my XT276 FunFinderin 2012...dealer set it up and have never experienced one iota of sway even pulling the 30 toy hauler with a 04 Ram 1500. I have since upgraded to a Ram 2500 and simply readjusted the hitch for the increased height of the 2500 from the 1500........easy to do.

The Equal-i-Zer hitch was the best purchase made with the camper!

Sway is usually caused by not having enough tongue weight. Try moving more weight forward of the wheels on your trailer.

I think team dougherty has the right idea. First find out what your tongue weight is. Should be 10 - 15% of the trailer weight. If it's not that's likely your problem.

Trailer level also will cause an issue with tongue weight and sway. You want your trailer to be as close to level and you can when towing. If you cannot get it perfectly lever slightly lower in the front is OK.

More info.
