Default A month in our X-139: Basin and Range Country

We spent all of September in Utah, Idaho, Northern Nevada, and the Eastern Sierra -- a month of mostly boondocking and dry camping. Below I have posted five different blog post links, together with a few sample photos. I hope you enjoy this -- lots of photos!

Dan-
Your photos are spectacular, as always. Glad you were able to get away for a while and enjoy our vast western vistas once again.

We just returned from traveling for 5 weeks in Europe, mostly in a rental van with two other couples. We had a great time and saw a lot, but I really prefer haulin' a TT behind a truck over haulin' suitcases up steep and narrow European hotel staircases....

Thanks for the kind words! But remember that I am nothing more than the person holding the camera. The really amazing part is that much of the West still looks exactly like we imagined it, long ago, when we were children watching cowboys on TV.

Just spent a delightful morning going through you series of pics. What a great job on the photos and texts/captions. We too love the same things, the mountain vistas, the fall colors, the starry nights, the geology, and the cocktail hour at the end of the day! Now we are jonseing to get out there in our Fun Finder, though we are not as adventurous in our hiking we would like to say Thanks for Sharing. Safe travels and Happy Camping!

Thanks for the kind words, retelect! You live where we vacation -- it takes us four days of hard driving to get to your area. The North Cascades, the Olympics, Rainier -- all in your backyard, and all world-class camping and hiking.
