Default Sept. in Colorado: a month in the smallest Fun Finder

If you have a few minutes (or maybe more than a few), here are the links to our four blog posts -- lots of photos. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't know how to post a link using a text label, rather than the full clunky URL, so I apologize for the clutter:

Here is a shot of our trailer in its "off-road" mode (really just off-pavement) -- one of our routes involved 20 miles of very rough and rocky forest road, which we took at about 10 mph. The trailer handled it just fine:

Great photos, especially the moose!

What is the black mat under your trailer?

Marti, I am not sure what you mean -- in some of the shots, there is just a shadow under the trailer, not a mat. In other shots, we do have a black rubber mat about three feet by two feet that we put in front of the door -- it is the kind of thing that you would see inside a supermarket on a rainy day. It has very aggressive rubber spikes to wipe off the mud and dirt -- this is essential when we are boondocking in the middle of nowhere, rather than in a campground paved with nice clean gravel.

In this one http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PvHACScykI...Bsept%2B11.jpg

Are you parked on asphalt there or boondocking?

That's asphalt -- we were dry camping at Timber Creek Campground, on the west side of Rocky Mtn Natl Park. Believe it or not, there were small pull-through sites on a couple of loops in that campground. Not good for big rigs, but more than adequate for us!

Awesome--I only had time to review the photos, but wow--that's living!
