The problem is that is not a 1x6. It's a 2x10, at least. Just watched it again. When he talks about the wood board splitting and holds it up it looks like a 2 x 12. And his measurement with two together was way over 3". So it's 2 by material in thickness. We use 1 by material. 4 by under the front tongue jack.

Ordered from Amazon.ca for $40.65 for a pack of 10 plus nylon carrying case. Tri-Lynx 00015 Lynx Leveler.

The Lynx brand was recommended over Camco brand by previous customer reviews.

Also ordered 4 stabilizer jack pads (my wood blocks are old and splitting, and dirty! At least I can wash off the plastic ones! lol), and 4 wheel chocks with rope attached for easy picking up. I demolished one of mine (don't ask how ) and the other 3 are old and brittle and breaking up.
They are only $28.76 from Amazon ........??

Especially if you don't have the $$$ in the first place. Lol! I like Amazon Prime. When you live far from a town like we do it saves a lot in gas money.

Even more expensive on your Canadian Amazon. The exchange rate is only $1.25 to our $1.00, so the extra must be shipping?

Another trick i use is to mark where the tires are on the high side of the trailer and move it ahead and few feet. Dig two holes of the required depth and back the tires into them. Acts as a natural chock block as well. Silverado

I use a bubble level, placed inside the frig. If the frig is level it functions properly.....everything else is not that demanding.

There are many but here is an example: https://www.amazon.com/Prime-Product...A0RT00EBK7692C

Bumping this to help others out.

We were driving up on wood to level side to side... until the father-in-law bought his first trailer & showed up with the Anderson Levelers that previous owner had thrown in with his trailer. I purchased mine the next chance I had (from Peavey Mart but paid almost $80 for each which was best price I found last summer ). Leveling has become so much simpler now, worth every penny!!!

At the time of this posting, price is great at $56/each: https://www.amazon.ca/s/?ie=UTF8&key...l_40qq59t5zh_e

Couldn't figure out how to embed video on this site so here's a link to how these levelers work: https://youtu.be/b4JQV15VzBc

I use a couple of these magnetic torpedo levels, one on the rear bumper and the other in the door way. I have lost all my marbles so that won't work for me.lol

I use a bubble level in the frig also. I can almost see it from the front jack.....

I'm in the trailer using a two foot carpenter's level on the ceiling for side to side, then the top of the fridge for front to back. We had a bubble level in the fridge too but didn't really use it.

Default Retired my Torpedo Levels

Made another modification to the FF today. Will pair it with my Anderson levelers to make setting up easier. I was able to mount a Hoppy Bubble Level without drilling into the fiberglass cap. I was able to cut and shape a piece of 1/2" UMHW and mount it to the propane cover on the front of the trailer, then fastened the level which not only does side to side but front to back levelling.

That’s a very convenient place to view levelers. I agree that the levelness of the reefer is of prime importance. But ocasionally time is of the essence, e.g. alone and raining, when setting up tends to be hurried. I like to have the passenger side a “tad” higher in case of rain, with the SO out, so rain won’t run in through any opportune crack!

It would have been nice to have factory installed levelers you could view from the rear view mirror. I got a 4x8 rubber cattle/ horse floor pad from Tractor supply and cut it up into 11”x17” pads I use for my under the tires leveler. The down side is they weigh more than the “legos” style ones. I store them in a milk crate. My son- in-law introduced this idea to me.

Default Best Ever?

Okay - "only" been Rv'ing since 2012. "lego" leveling blocks since day one. Trial and error. ugh - not even fun in the rain.
After 5 years of camping, bought a Blaylock "wheel lock" It is similar to the Andersen camper leveler/chock. But aluminum!
Went camping last weekend - leveled on the first try! Absolutely the best investment I've made in some time. Got a dual axle 210UDS. Although the Andersens come as a pair with a chock, the Blaylock is a single without the chock.
It worked without a problem.
I'm asking myself the old question: WHY didn't I do this sooner?https://smile.amazon.com/Blaylock-Am...blaylock+level

Using a 2-foot level with the multiple bubbles, you can simply hold it against the outside of the camper while leveling. It will easily show left/right level.
