NJust got back from sleepy hollow state park. Really nice park based on Michigan standards and a great dog beach too. Only down side was I had to wash the mutt when we got home.

Looks like he had fun. I hope you did too. What are Michigan standards?

Well, from my experience camping in Michigan State Parks, many are like glorified parking lots with little screening between sites. Further, I have been to many Michigan State Parks that felt run down and you could never find anyone working there. Sleepy Hollow was quite different. A vast majority of the sites were separated with quite a bit of forest or ground foliage, which made them feel more private. Also, I seem to always be running into rangers or other works at the park and they really took good care of the facilities. Also, they had a lot of activities and programs for the young kids (not that I have any anymore). Heck, they even had out door lights at the dumping station! Overall, I was very impressed for being a state park.
