We are headed for the 70's by this weekend. YEA!

I'm fine as long as it doesn't get over 80 -85 ...more than that is too hot.

Well, well. Two days ago there was snow that fell in the Black Hills of South Dakota. "March and April is western South Dakota’s snow season and temperatures are still cool enough in the higher elevations to retain the snow cover. March is typically the snowiest month of the year, with average snowfall 15 to 25 inches in the northern Black Hills and eight to 12 inches over the southern Hills. Normal highs are in the 40s and lows are in the 20s.

Snow often occurs in April, although temperatures are warmer. Normal snowfall for the Black Hills is 10 to 20 inches in the north and five to 10 inches in the south. Average daytime temperatures are in the 50s with lows in the 20s and 30s." And the cool air has spread to eastern SD. It was 20 degrees here Tue AM but up to 41 today at 1:25PM.

No ventures for another week or so are planned.

I'm finally finished with a long list of trailer mods and so if the weather cooperates, my wife and I plan to go next Sunday to a nearby state park along Lake Michigan.

Our first shakedown trip for the new old rv is scheduled for May 23rd. Close to home for two nights to check everything out. Lots of work to do. Just started painting the first coat of primer on everything. Looks better already.

Probably for two or three days. As for mods, I've posted pictures of most of them already, but to summarize, I replaced the mattress, added a solar panel, added lights under the entry way door and installed an interior electric water heater switch.

I would say its pretty nice. Unfortunately the state put in a bunch of sharp stones into the water to prevent erosion so it makes it hard to walk bare footed into the water. But the campground is very nice and we have camped there about once a year for probably 15 years now.

I read some reviews just now. Per usual they were all over the place with likes and dislikes. I like the fact that they have a dog beach.

Talking

We have two short trips planned this month, one to the blue ridge and then over on the river for a day, then one next month down to Florida for a week or so. These will all be in the camper van. We will be sneaking a FunFinder trip in there somewhere as soon as our camping partners let us know where they have decided to meet up...
One of the Alabama State Parks for a few days I'm sure.
