On my 2011 210 the salesman switch is in the pass thru on the right back wall. Pull it out to turn it on. Also check the fuse on the wire out by the battery box.

What is the main function of that switch? When should it be off? While towing!

The smallest item stored shuts it off.

The only reason for that switch is to isolate the battery from the rest of the trailer's electrical system. I guess you would use it if the trailer is sitting for a period of time and you don't want the battery drawn down by systems in the trailer like the clock on the radio. Frankly I've never used mine.
If you choose to disconnect it while traveling you should verify that the battery connection to the brakes is still active.

Brakes always get a good test before leaving the house.

Our 08 going up for sale soon. 18ft
