Default 2014 Fun Finder F-266KIRB

We're newbies to camping and the Fun Finder and love it! We must have looked at hundreds over a couple of years until we found "the one". What we wanted was one under 30ft with 2 opposing slides so it would seem roomier. With the slides open the living area is 13ft x 13ft which is larger than some rooms in a house. Also, I'm 6'1" and the 74" queen wouldn't do. This one has the standard 80" queen. I just don't understand why most of the trailers have the short beds when even vertically challenged people like a full length bed. My wife is 5'3" and likes having room to move around. It is very "short sighted" on the manufacturers part when all they have to do is make the floor plan accommodate a 6" longer bed. Problem solved. We have towed it under 1000 miles so far and have an Equal-i-zer w/d hitch and it's stable even when 18 wheelers pass. The 2014 Silverado 1500 has 355hp and with the 3.42 rear can tow up to 9900lbs and has no problem handling the 266. I'm mentioning this because before purchasing, I wanted to know how it would do and couldn't find much info on it. We're looking forward to years of camping and meeting fellow Cruiser RVers.

That is awesome, congrats. We too are excited, we have ordered our first TT showing up in about 8 weeks. It is a 2014 fun finder 265rbss in Tuscan spice and will be towed by a 2007 chevy 1500 V8 5.3 4x4, 3.73, crew cab short bed. Looking at the Fastway E2 hitch or the Equalizer but haven't made up our mind yet.

Have fun with yours and happy trails.

We just bought a "new" 2013 F-266KIRB.
Really like the open floor plan and large pantry.

We had a 2009 KZ 261RKS. All we are missing is the large wardrobe the KZ had.

Both trailers are nearly the same as far as size and weight so towing is very similar.

J&J Welcome to the forum and camping! I just purchased a 2011 silverado 1500 crew cab and picked up a 2003 189fbd project camper last year. Haven't towed with the new truck yet but I'm really looking forward to better towing experiences (once I get my camper project finished. If you want to take a peek it's "lots of water damage in the ceiling" in the maintenance section) If you have any question just post it. The people on this forum are great and willing to help out where ever they can. Happy camping!

Welcome. Lots of knowledge here from experienced folks. Don't be afraid to ask as everyone was a 'newbee' at one time or another.

imported a 266 to Australia. Love the size.
I am interested to hear what others think of the decor?

How does your 1500 handle towing the 266KIRB?

We bought a 2015 266kirb and I tow it with a 2011 5.7 hemi. Short bed. I've been from Michigan to the Carolinas and back. No problem at all. Towed quit well and we love the two opposing slides. You're right, it's exactly what we wanted too after looking for several months. As soon as we saw this one, we knew she was the one. The only thing I found was if the hot water tank gets too hot, it will automatically trip the breaker. Learned this the hard way. I took a nice 15 minute long shower never losing hot water which really impressed me. I didn't realize the breaker got tripped and when the wife got in she lost hot water after shampooing up. Oh no. If you lose hot water check the breaker on the hot water tank.
