Default From pop-up to Fun Finder 2011 X189FDS

Hello FF Community! This is Phill & Janet and this is our first Fun Finder purchase. It's a 2011 X189FDS. We are new to the trailer experience. After tent camping for 25 years, we bought a pop-up in Sept '17. What a difference, but after 4 outings we realized we needed something more secure. Living in Glendale AZ, there are many places in this state to explore and the weather is decent 8 mo's in the year. We just love this trailer and can't wait to experience our first trip in March.

Nice little camper. Love Glendale, AZ. Used to live west Phoenix, stationed at Luke AFB way long time ago. Camper looks to be in great shape. You should have a great time upgrading from a pop-up to the 189. Enjoy and welcome to the forums.

Congrats, that camper looks almost new. Lot's of great places to go in Arizona especially the state parks. Also you'll find that with AC in the trailer you can camp 12 months a year. Where is your trip in March?

LJAZ,
Our first trip will most likely be at Lynx Lake up in Prescott. We are finalizing the location this weekend with some friends. Thx

Lynx is a nice getaway spot. I grew up in Paradise Valley/N. Scottsdale and we spent a bit of time up in the Prescott/Groom Creek area. Lynx was always a spring favorite. In summer we headed East/North and did the White Mountains. There are some great little trout streams up there and summer temps are cool.

That's a great spot. Years ago I used to do a lot 4 wheeling and tent camping in the Bradshaw's.

Beautiful! With that slideout, you are living in spacious luxury. Well done!

Welcome and great choice ! LOL, I have the 2012 version of that trailer, which I am sitting in just outside of Tucson as we speak.

Great looking camper. Mine does not have a slide out and it is a year older. First thing I did was raised the cabinet above the bed up about a foot so that it was not so claustrophobic.
