Default Hello fellow Fun Finders

After 20 plus years of towing a popup trailer, I finally purchased a travel trailer. My wife and I both decided that popups were way to much work if we want to travel the US. So after months of looking, we purchased a 2010 FunFinder X 189FBR from craigslist. My TV is a 2013 Toyota AWD Highlander. My hobbies are gardening, radio controlled model aircraft, and camping. As far as work is concerned, I have spent my career working in the Pharmaceutical business. I have been fortunate to have worked for 4 different companies, without ever leaving the city of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Those companies were Upjohn, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Pharmacia and finally Pfizer. Anyway, I have decided to retire this fall and enjoy the rest of my life camping, flying and volunteering.

Welcome! Truly hope you enjoy your fun finder! We have a 2007 189fbr. Only been out a few times in ours, but enjoy it. Perfect for the 2 of us and occasionally the grandkids. We both still work- teacher and city clerk- but hope to retire in a few years and then try and use it more!!

Hi twinster2,
1st, welcome to forum and congrats on the retirement and as previously stated, you are going to love it!!!

I tent camped camped and even slept in the back of an old K-5 Blazer. After getting caught in the rain the last trip with my brother was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak... We had driven several hours and it started to rain an hour or so before we reached our camping spot. There we were, the two of us stuck in a K-5 in a heavy rainstorm... see pic below of the morning after the rain...

Again, welcome aboard and you will find the FF family a great group!!!
