Default Hello from New Zealand

We would like to say a big hi to all fellow Funfinder owners! We have owed our Funfinder 189FBS for 3 years, we had it imported into New Zealand from America. We have just arrived home from a weekend away in it, we try to get away as much as possible even though it's winter here at the moment!
We have done lots of little improvements to our Funfinder, new benchtops, bike rack, solar panels etc. we mainly freedom camp (no hookups) most of the time as NZ has so many great places to do this
would love to hear from other owners, there aren't many in NZ! We are thinking of coming over to the USA and purchasing a new 189FDS in the near future!

Good to hear from you Scooby99. We owned and 07 189 FD (now sold) and are looking forward to picking up our new 189FBS in a couple of weeks. Our son and daughter-in-law camped in NZ a couple of years ago and said your country is very friendly and an especially nice place to RV.

Hi scooby99,

We visited New Zealand in January for 2 weeks. Beautiful country and it would be even better to camp there.
Too bad we couldn't bring our Funfinder 210UDS with us.
Hmmm. . . maybe some sort of camper and tow vehicle exchange?
And New Zealand is perfect for solar! We added solar to our camper-it's great.

Just out of curiosity, does NZ have compatable power hookups? Or do you have to have some type of adapters to hook up to shore power?

Hi LJAZ, our voltage is different we run on 230 volt and the plug is different, a transformer was fitted when it was imported into NZ. If/when we import again we wouldn't bother with converting it, we would just use solar panels (12 volt) as the best places to camp in NZ don't have power anyways

Hi runner421, we would be interested in something like that....will keep it in mind, where are you situated?

We live in Clarksville, TN. We've been on the road since 25 May with our camper. Currently in Montana and headed to Yellowstone, then Mount Rushmore.
Loving it.
