I'm late but wanted to say welcome too.

Saginaw MI ~ lived/worked there for a year in the mid 90's and made it over the bridge into the UP once on a weekend jaunt but didn't venture further into the UP.

Happy camping.

Thanks Eagle. We lived in the southeastern part of the state until we bought this retirement place in 2013. Too many people down there and not enough nature. Lol! This place is like a paradise to us but being up in the UP would really be the ultimate we think. Paul has cousins up there. His mom was born in the Keewenaw Peninsula.

Had a friend that lived in Flat Rock, worked at Ford most of his life, retired and traveled quite a bit. Sadly, he passed away last spring from the big C.

Have a first cousin that lives near Benton Harbor (west side of MI), retired from Whirlpool a few years ago.

BTW ~ I'm retired too but the wife has a few years to go before she can retire so limits our camping time.

When in MI, I was surprised to learn that is where unions started, in the lumber industry, from what I read in a MI museum.
