Default New Funfinder Owner

Greetings Funfinder Folks,

New to the list. Just purchased a 2012 Funfinder 210WBS and brought it home yesterday! Seems to be a very nice unit. Lots of features we never had before. Hope to be able to use this forum for future info. Looking forward to camping ... maybe next weekend!

Welcome Deltamark, what are you towing with? How does it tow?

Default TV

Hello Erin,

Thanks for the welcome. I towed the trailer home 100 miles with a 2007 V6 Saturn Vue. Have a transmission cooler, electric brake, weight distribution hitch and anti-sway bar. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but it towed reasonably well. I had a lighter Gulfstream camper previously and I didn't notice much difference in the way this one towed, nor the gas mileage. That said, I am looking at another tow vehicle, however. It wasn't my intent to pull this trailer long term with my Saturn.

Welcome to the site and good choice on the 210wbs. I bought on last year and couldn't be happier unless I could get out more often. The wife and I are taking it out for the first trip of the season this weekend. woohoo!

Happy camping!

Default Another New Fun Finder Owner

It is really exciting to have come upon this community - and we would like to take this opportunity to introduce and tell a little bit about ourselves!
On April 13th, 2012, my husband and I took possession of our new 215WSK. We had been looking and dreaming literally for years for the right home on wheels for us. Over the years - our needs and desires ran the gammet from 36' Fifth Wheels to a Slide-In Campers. Then during the fall of last year, we visited one of our area RV dealers(again) and looked at a number of smaller travel trailers. We came upon the Fun Finder and really loved it. We knew this was the trailer we could seriously consider - it was a perfect size for the two of us; we loved the floor plan and all the little extras, like the outdoor kitchen and the swiveling TV. However,we decided to wait until the Providence, RI RV Show to make our final decision and see if we could make a deal at that time. And that's exactly what we did. Three weeks later - our new Fun Finder arrived.
Since then, we have been busy getting familiar with our new love and really enjoying ourselves. Our "trial" experience was camping out for the weekend in our driveway. This worked out great and gave us a good feel for the interior space of the trailer. The weekend after that (last weekend) we took off on our first outing. We drove 100 miles to Foxwoods Casino in CT and experienced drydocking in their RV designated parking (no hookups - but at least free and secure). Today, I found a great campground just outside of Boston and made a reservation for Mother's Day weekend. Needless to say -we are having a ball! This year we are planning local area trips; a year from now, we have a plan to take a month off from work and travel down the east coast.
Our new Fun Finder has certainly added a new fun dimension to our lives. Hope everyone is enjoying theirs!

Congrats on the 210WBS and the 215WSK. We just bought a 210UDS and are really looking forward to it. We're personalizing it now. Outfitting with a solar system to maximize comfort at unimproved campsites.

Default Solar System

Welcome and congrats runner on your 210UDS! I'd love to learn more about what you are doing for your solar system - what is involved.
This is something my husband and I have talked briefly about.
Thanks - loringsontheroad

We'll keep tabs - but we're using 4 RV deep cycle batteries. Installing 4-68 watt flexible Uni-Solar Laminate Panels (about 15.5" wide and 112.1" long). Replacing the trailer's inverter/charger with a better unit and adding a solar charger.
We'll see how that goes.

Default Congrats on your FF We just picked ours up last weekend

So we have been looking for a TT for about 7 years now and just kept putting it off. We took the big leap and picked up our 215wks last weekend. We did "premative" camping if you can call it that in a FF. So far we love it and can't find enough places to camp. We will be camping in a state park and using hook-up this weekend. Little nervouse about that blank tank thing but other than that we are in love.
