Default New Member-New 2008 FunFinder X189FBS

Hello y'all We are the proud owners of a brand new 2008 X189FBS. We got a good deal on it because it is a 2008 model. We have been out camping 3 times since we bought it in early May. So far so good, tows nicely with no problems.

The only defect we encountered was a SafeTAlert Carbon Monoxide/Propane detector that would go off intermittently throughout the day and night. I called SafeTAlert they send me a replacement that works fine.

The little slide out is nice.

Thank you all for the kind welcome!

We checked the smoke alarm before replacing the carbon monoxide/propane detector. The smoke alarm and batteries were ok...the alarm was defective. SafeTAlert was quick to send a replacement.

I will post some photos of my Fun Finder and of my favorite campground...as soon as I learn how to upload photos to this site. The Rio Chama RV Park is my favorite...a short walk to the Cumbres Toltec narrow gauge steam railroad depot. The steam train passes through the park twice a day. Beautiful little place.

An easy way to post pics here is to host them on photobucket, or simular site, then cut and paste a link into the text of your post. Photobucket is free, you just need to create an account and you are good to go! PM me if you would like more info.

Default Awning Problem

Hi Mike and Kewpie.

We have just bought a 2008 X189FBS here in New Zealand (our first caravan!). Bought it privately but did not get to see how everything worked. Just having trouble working out how set the awning up. Is it possible to get any tips from you at all please? About to take it out for our first time this Sunday, staying away for a week so looking forward to it.

Kind regards,

Reg
