Default Welcome

Welcome to the forum. Are you new to RV'ing, or just to the FF forum?

Thank you, we are new to the FF forum. Bought our FF 2 months ago,
having a great time with it. Been camping the last 5 years in a tear drop trailer. Have gone to a lot of tear drop gatherings, they are a blast. Wish the FFers would have gatherings or do they?

Default FF Gatherings

I've had the FF 189 for two years now. The first year we put on 8,000 miles and over 70 nights. So far this year we've put on about 3,000 miles and 35 nights. All without a serious problem despite what you may read in other parts of this forum. I have occasionally seen a FF at our campground and I always try to say hello, but I've never seen an organized rally. That's an interesting idea. I would be willing to attend one provided I could get there within a reasonable drive (reasonable drive= cost of gas+driving time-time of year). Where are you located? I'm in Virginia near Richmond.

I too think this would be fun, tho we'd probably have to have regional ones to save gas and get people to come (many groups I belong to are west-coast driven, and, much as I'd love to camp in California, I can't imagine the cost of wagging my little FF over there!!)

Where do you think a good Mid-Atlantic location would be?

Default Mid-Atlantic Meetup

To attract mid-Atlantic owners, I would suggest Shenandoah National Park. It has three major campgrounds with no hookups(small bummer), but relatively large, and level, campsites. It's convenient to I-81 and I-64. An alternative might be Smoky Mountains NP but I didn't find the park campground there to be very user friendly.

What other ideas are there?
