Hi everyone, i have been reading the forums off and on and decided i would finally register. I am a real newbie at the RVing (mostly truck\camper before).
i purchased myself alittle X139 and am enjoying it. I took it in for some warranty repairs - soon after purchase and all seems to be ok now.
Recently I took it back to the dealership when my grey and black tanks were registering 1/3 full all the time. The black (as per other replies, had kaka on the sensor, so that was solved) but the grey water was still showing 1/3.
He told me that i have to put the trailer on a 2" block on the passerger side, when dumping to get rid of all the water.. has anyone else come across this? i have never seen anyone do this before at the dump stations so am wondering.

That shouldn't be the case. But remember, even a little leftover water will register something on your tank indicator. What year is your X139?

thank you so much for your response - my trailer is a 2010 X-139 (bought it new off the lot) and when i took it in for winterizing, they said that after they tilted it - there was still a about 5 gallons (or more) that drained. If this is normal, then i won't pursue it. I just have never seen or heard of anyone that has done this when they dump. I was a bit concerned

I always set my trailers up so that the street side (where the drains are) is a little lower than the curb side...not 2", that would be really noticeable inside, but, usually 1/2" to 1". That does a couple of things...helps to get the liquids, gray and black flowing briskly which, in turn, helps push any solids that are in the tanks towards the "exits" An additional benefit, it makes the A/C condensation on the roof drain away from the "living" side of the trailer. I also tend to make the nose, also, 1/2" to 1" higher...this makes the A/C drain off the street side rear corner...hate having cold A/C water drip on my neck when moving around the trailer getting things

If you aren't in a FHU site, I would still set up as above to manage the A/C runoff...

If you notice, most well designed dump stations have their road/pad banked so that the trailer tilts towards the drains to aid in emptying the RV's tanks. If I'm pulling into a dump station and I notice the pavement is level, I'll put a block under the curbside wheels before dumping to tilt the trailer towards the drains.
