Default X139 Fun Finder for smaller SUV's

My wife and I purchased a X139 last spring. We moved from Las Vegas NV to North West New Mexico and she got introduced to the joys of camping. She was a big city girl who went camping a few times growing up. I grew up camping every weekend from tents to a huge motor home. Our first summer here we camped in a tent with 4 dogs all summer long, over the winter we decided to find ourselves a camper that we could tow with our 2008 Ford Escape. Let me tell you that was not an easy task. We looked a Pop ups and as soon as she saw the bathroom was a port-a-potty she would have nothing to do with them. So we started looking at full camp trailers, all of them where too heavy for our Escape to tow. So we where looking at having to buy a truck and a camper if we wanted to get a camper for camping. We really did not want to have to spend close to 100K on a truck and camper. We were about to give up when the dealer showed us the X139. She fell in love with it the moment she walked in it. We dropped the 14k on it to make it ours. This summer we have been camping most every weekend and have been very pleased with our camper. We have been able to take our camper everywhere we have wanted to go and never had any problems towing it. We have even shown it off to other campers who have had smaller SUV’s that have lower tow capacities. Our Ford Escape normally gets around 22-24 mpg around town and 27-29 mpg on the highway. Hooked up to our camper we hooked up and towing up in to the mountains we have been getting 11+ mpg this last weekend we actually got over 13 mpg. So if you have a small truck or SUV and you are interested in purchasing a camper the X139 is something you should look in to.
