Default 20,30, 50 AMP

finally taking our trailer out first time this coming weekend and will be first time I've camped at a site w/ electric hook up. any advice on things to check or know? info in manual says converter is for 45 amps, but would assume use 30 amp not 50amp, correct? Are the hook ups usually ID'd w/ 20,30,50?
