Default 2009 189FBR - New AC cover shroud

Folks,
Any idea on where to locate the model number for my AC unit. Of course when I took the cover off to inspect and clean the unit, I dropped it over the side. It easily broke after ten plus years in the sun.
I found a replacement on Amazon but want to match model numbers.
Thanks...

We have a 2007 FF (x210) that’s likely to have the same brand and perhaps even same model A/C unit as your 189. I just checked and found that the info you are seeking can be found by removing the intake vent/filter cover just in front of the control panel on the ceiling inside the camper. The specification, model number & serial number stickers are easily visible. Be cautious with release tabs when pulling the vent panel down. Like your aged rooftop cowl, the plastic on the inside components may also be quite brittle. In the words of Profdant139, “don’t ask me how I know this” .

I have a 2011 189 FBS. The Model number was under the shroud on the side. The one I found on Amazon had a very similar number but not exact number. Since I have Prime and it was an available Prime item, I took the chance and it fit perfectly.
BTW, how does a Junior member start a new thread??? I can never figure this out. It should be simpler.

Hi Caroline —

Just open up the “Forum Category” you want to post in.

In the upper left corner is a “New Thread” button to click on.

The reason for this system is that it helps to keep new threads posted in the most correct forum categories.

Easy from that point.

Best, Fred
