freshwater tank draining
This week I called Cruiser tech service to ask if they had any advice on draining my freshwater tank. The tank sags badly and the drain valve is high on the sidewall. All problems that ya'll are familiar with. My FF-189 is a 2009 model so the warranty is still in effect. The tech asked a few questions then promised to replace the tank. I was surprised and very pleased with the response. So, early the following morning I rushed to the dealer with the good news. The dealer emailed Cruiser for confirmation and to place the tank order. Cruiser emailed back that they would not replace the tank, but would pay for having it strapped up (supported). I was shocked because my conversation with the tech had never included the words "sag" or "support straps". Only the drainage problem. I called Cruiser but all the techs, including the one I talked with were either busy, or out. The next day I called again and got a new person whom I did not recognize but who said simply, "Your tank will be replaced". Again, I rushed to the dealer for confirmation and sure enough the replacement is on the way. I don't know what to make of all this except to be pleased that my tank will be replaced. Heck, I don't even know if the design of the newer tanks has changed to make drainage easier. I'll keep the forum informed.
