Default 2016 229 VSD..walk on roof ?

I just bought a used 2016 Fun Finder 229 VSD.

If you are careful can you safely walk on the roof ?

I believe the walls are aluminum framing ? Is the roof aluminum frame with wood on top ?

I don't know why not .... I walk on the roof of my XT276 whenever servicing it .. like to change the cheap Jensen antenna out to a good antenna, to wash the roof membrane, to check the caulking around the vents, etc.

There is no other way to service various items on the roof without walking on it.

Thank you. I thought you could. I just wasn’t sure of the roof construction?

Is it aluminum framing and wood. Then the membrane.

I'm pretty sure your roof is wood framed with thin plywood then the roof membrane. Yes, you can walk on it. Be gentle. If you are particularly large, it might be better to have someone else do it. I'm about 210 and walk the roof without a problem.

Thanks, I will be gentle. I am 172 lbs. so not to bad.

I wonder what the framing is aluminum or wood ? It’s really curved.

2016 should be aluminum frame. FF switched from wood to aluminum in 2008 I think. So your roof will be aluminum trusses with luan plywood. You should be able to walk on it.
